Visit with Photographer Erwin Olaf

Mobius Awards’ Photographer of the Year, Amsterdam resident Erwin Olaf, received his “Best” statuette February 28

Photographer of Year award

delivered in person by Mobius Chairman Lee Gluckman. During

an interview, Olaf said his idea of photography was a combination of “technical skills, fantasy and a little bit of undefined emotion.” Lately, he has been drawn to staged photography where the photographer “can control everything and create 100 percent your own world.” He also has developed an interest in carbon printing, which dates to the 1900s. You can see one of his creations at the Haute Living blog.
