More politics from ‘The Simpsons’

Wow! We are used to seeing animals as the feature of advertising spots – so much so that I have to ban my Westhighland Terrier from the room in order to watch TV because she wants to jump into the screen. However, the opening one minute of ‘The Simpsons’ on Oct. 10 offered a very different twist with its theme of animal and child abuse as related to creating products inspired by the show.

Be prepared; some of the treatment of the helpless is more than cruel. UK street artist Bansky was the guest creator. Lots of bloggers and mainstream media watchers are speculating about the intent of the segment. One of the best is here:  http://www.guardian.co.uk/media/2010/oct/11/banksy-the-simpsons-bart.
