Brave Dog poised to assist entrants

Mobius Awards recently met the folks at Brave Dog, a West Hollywood company, that has positioned itself as a one-stop shop for potential competition entrants who don’t have time or staffing to prepare the entries.

We are pleased that Brave Dog has endorsed Mobius as a competition. Brave Dog launched last year to assist clients in entering film festivals, broadcast and cable television award shows and major advertising award competitions in the U.S. and internationally.

“In these demanding times when there is so much pressure on staffs, it is great that companies have an option for help in selecting and preparing entries,” said Lee Gluckman, chairman of Mobius Awards. Gluckman and the staff met recently with Brave Dog founders Stephen McCarthy and Juan Carlos Castano to learn about the service.

McCarthy and Castano  were formerly in-house executives with Promax/BDA where they managed the Promax/BDA International Award Competitions, as well as the “MI6” Game Marketing Awards.

Hurrah! Marketing, owned by Carol Eisenrauch, is the official rep agency behind Brave Dog. The two companies can do all of the work of preparing and presenting works to competitions.

Brave Dog has already been retained by such clients as HBO, the NBC Agency, CNN, the NFL Network, Discovery Europe, Bravo, Fuel TV, History Channel, and A&E Networks.

McCarthy said his company, of course, cannot guarantee entries will win, but its clients have won more than 221 awards so far.
